A coverage map showing the area in which California
Golden Seals men's professional hockey could be heard on the radio in
Northern California. Presumed to date from the 1974-75 NHL season,
stations on the Seals' radio network included flagship KEEN (1370 AM,
San Jose), KSRO (1350 AM, Santa Rosa), KKIS (990 AM, Pittsburg-Concord)
and KIDD (630 AM, Monterey).
The Seals entered the NHL as an expansion team in 1967,
and were moved to Cleveland (as the Barons) following the 1975-76
season.
